A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization delivering neuroscience-based wellbeing training and leadership education to college campuses, K–12 schools, and communities across the United States.
The Human Values Center (HVC) is a nonprofit public-benefit organization founded to address a gap that most institutions recognize but few know how to close: the distance between people's capacity to learn, lead, and belong — and the conditions that actually support that capacity.
Our flagship approach is the Community Resiliency Model® (CRM®), a neuroscience-based toolkit developed by the Trauma Resource Institute. CRM® gives students, educators, staff, and community members practical skills to recognize and regulate their nervous system responses — the biological prerequisite for learning, belonging, and leadership. We deliver CRM® training in a single 3-hour session, online or in-person, with results that are applicable the same day.
We build on that foundation with We All Lead®, HVC's signature campus wellbeing and ecological leadership framework — a full ecosystem of belonging, values, purpose, and distributed leadership built around CRM®'s nervous system regulation core.
Our programs are place-based, culturally relevant, and designed to work across the full educational spectrum — from high school students to university faculty to senior organizational leaders.

"Thriving communities where collective wellbeing, ecological belonging, and shared human values guide how we learn, lead, and care for one another."
We train the next generation of ethical leaders and the educators who guide them — fostering resilience, compassion, and ecological belonging through place-based, culturally relevant, community-centered programs of inner development and outer action.
The Sequence That Works
Capacity first. Then community. Then action. CRM® expands what students and communities can handle. We All Lead® channels that capacity into mental health, social cohesion, and climate action — together.
HVC works across the educational and civic spectrum — from individual students to institutions to municipalities — with programs designed to meet each community where it is.
Through the Flourishing Campus Series — CRM® for Campus and We All Lead® — we bring nervous system regulation, belonging, and distributed leadership to higher education.
We All Lead Camp and CRM® for Teens give high school students and their teachers practical tools for resilience, peer support, and values-based leadership.
CRM® for Cities and Communities equips frontline staff, CBOs, and local government with non-clinical, scalable wellbeing tools.
CRM® for Families brings nervous system regulation skills into the home — practical, accessible, and immediately applicable.
We lead with empathy and care — for ourselves, for each other, and for the communities we serve.
Individual flourishing and community health are inseparable. We build the conditions for both.
We are part of the natural world, not apart from it. Our programs cultivate a sense of place and stewardship.
Our work is grounded in neuroscience, human development research, and decades of practitioner experience.
Lasting change begins within. We pair personal transformation with community-level action.
Programs are place-based and culturally grounded — designed with and for the communities they serve.
Land Acknowledgment
The Human Values Center recognizes that we are occupying and operating on land originally and still inhabited and cared for by the Tongva, Tataviam, Serrano, Kizh, and Chumash Peoples. We honor and pay respect to their elders and descendants — past, present, and emerging — as they continue their stewardship of these lands and waters.
All donations are tax-deductible. Our programs are available online and in-person, with pricing that scales to your institution's size and need.
